Chirp won't upload to baofeng
WebI just got my first baofeng radio, a UV82. The problem is that it just won't respond on CHIRP when attempting to download from it. I've made sure the cable is in properly but i can't think of anything else i've been doing wrong. The cable is a CH340 and i'm running Win10 if that helps. This thread is archived WebHello! I have a few repeaters I put into my radio using CHIRP. It has all of the offsets and PL tones setup in CHIRP and everything uploaded correctly. But when I go through the menu the offset always shows "000.000". Even if I manually go in and put in an offset and save it, it reverts back to "000.000".

If it isn't making good contact, it can affect whether CHRIP will function correctly or not. You might check the connection and connect your cable with the radio more tightly. WebApparently there's a bug in the firmware of the various BaoFeng handie-talkie models (UV-5R family, BF-F8HP, and others) that causes frequency offset to revert to zero when in channel mode, regardless what was saved in any channel memory.
